Christian Hatwig has extensive expenience in the fiields of mediation and alternative dispute resoultion, from both an academic and clinical perspective, and is affiliated with the faculties of law of Friedrich-Schiller University Jena, ÈLTE Budapest, Humboldt University Berlin, and Tulane Law School New Orleans, in the United States, among others. Since 2005 he serves as a mediator in community, family and commercial disputes in Germany and visited the Dispute Resolution Center of Victoria, Australia and different mediation centers in the US. He conducts various conflict resolution programs nationally and mediation training programs for adults, students and children on a regular basis. Thereby he focuses on the neutral and empathic role of the mediator with mindfulness approaches. Additionally he lectures at Humboldt University Berlin and the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg. Last but not least he is active for the organizational development of the BM and works as the representative of this organization in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt on a voluntary basis.
